The County of Antrim and Newtownabbey, known as CoAntrim or CoAnt, is a county in Northern Ireland. It lies in the historic province of Ulster and is part of the United Kingdom and the island of Ireland. It has an area of 2,566 km2 and had a population of 588,746 at the 2011 census. Its largest town is Belfast, which is also Northern Ireland's capital city and its only city with more than 50,000 inhabitants. After Belfast, the next largest towns are Lisburn and Bangor.
