The County of Mid and East Antrim is located in the North-Eastern corner of Northern Ireland and borders with the counties of Antrim, Londonderry, and Tyrone. The region includes the towns of Ballymena, Larne, Carrickfergus, Newtownabbey, and the villages of Templepatrick and Greenisland, set between two big estuaries: Lough Neagh to the east and Larne Lough to the west.
