Cornwall is located in the South West of England and, together with the Isles of Scilly and Exmoor National Park, it makes up the South West England region. Cornwall has a population of 536,637 making it the second least populated county in England behind Rutland (2012 census). Just over half of Cornwall’s population live in the largest city, Plymouth and its surrounding area. Cornwall stretches from Land’s End in the west to Start Point in the east and from Padstow in the north to Falmouth in the south, with Truro as its capital city and principal commercial centre.
