The county of also consists of 8 parliamentary constituencies which are Cookstown, Dungannon and South Tyrone, Fermanagh and South Tyrone, Foyle, Lagan Valley, Mid Ulster, Newry and Armagh and Strangford. There are 110,258 households in Mid Ulster (2011), representing a 12% increase since 2001 and a 7% decrease on 2006 figures. Of these households: 8,660 (7%) are currently vacant; 41,343 (36%) are semi-detached or terraced; 27,070 (23%) are detached or housed in bungalows; and 30,030 (25%) were purpose-built flats.
